I'm home!! Back in Japan...how I missed ramen, beautiful J-girls, sushi, bento, my office, and yes of course immigration officers...

About my flight...what a shitty ride here. The turbulence was so bad I was nauseous half the flight. It was bad. The fact that American Airlines does not give free alcohol to anyone on it's flights also does not help...damn them to hell. From now on I fly JAL...free alcohol and hott J-girl stewardesses...the only way to travel haha. Not to mention the movies on the plane sucked ass. The best movie on there was Seabiscuit...what the hell do I care about that movie?!?! I wanted to see Matchstick Men and Finding Nemo and all the other good movies they were supposed to have but did not...jerks. American Airlines ga daikirai!!

The landing was eventful. As soon as we touched down the plane jerked violently to the left and almost spun out...thats what I need to be on, a giant, spinning plane moving 200 or so miles an hour...nice. I am wandering through the airport aimlessly towards the customs counter after grabbing my luggage and hear a voice yelling "Ryan!! Ryan!!" and look around and see no one I know so I assume it is for some other, less important Ryan. Imposter. So I go over to the counter and right before I get there I hear it again. I turn around and it's my office-mate Tyler. We chat a little and I say hi to his wife and I am on my way. telling him I will see him on the other side...never saw him haha. I waited a half hour for Miho to get there too. ahh well, prolly for the better, I was falling asleep standing up in the airport.

I met Miho at Narita Airport at the JR Line ticket desk. We missed the train by about 5 minutes so we had to wait another hour before we could go...that made me even happier considering I was so tired I was literally sleepwalking through the airport. So we go for ramen upstairs on the 4th floor. man was it awful. I got Shouyu-men (soy sauce ramen), it literally tasted like all the put in the broth was shouyu and mizu (soy sauce and water). it sucked. So I was thrilled with paying for that. Then we get on the train and I pass out and we go right through Shibuya-eki (station) without even realizing it and end up in Shinjuku-eki...thats what I wanted to lug all of my luggage through Shinjuku-eki like I did at Penn Station during morning rush hour. Just a side note, I had to giant, 50-some pound, whelled suitcases and a duffle bag big enough to fit a child in...that sucked...so we take the super-crowded Yamanote-sen (Line) to Shibuya...everyone on the train was raving mad at us for taking all of the luggage on the train...

We get to shibuya and take a taxi to Nishi-Azabu, where I live, and I fell asleep in the cab. For anyone who does not know (prolly all of you) it is only 10 minutes to Nishi-Azabu from Shibuya-eki. I was out cold. Miho had to wake me up. Damn I am still tired. I hate jetlag.

I fel asleep at like 830pm an woke up at 6am. I was at my office at 715am and am already tired again...its just after lunch...it took me a good week to get over my jetlag back in ny...better not be the same here.

It's good to be back at work where half of my office is sick...if I get sick I'll rack some heads...

I had a nice bento for lunch and have settled back in...good to be home.
