Again screwing with the weather girl...she just finished talking about Typhoon Cocone which is already starting to affect southern Japan (It will be a Direct hit for all of Japan YAY!) and she finishes up by saying she will have more about it in the next half hour. So he replies by saying "I should hope you will have more on it..." and he pauses waiting for her to respond and when she doesn't he gets annoyed and grumbles "Well since I was expecting her to respond and she didn't that was absolutely useless, moving on..." I laughed out loud at it. It was great.

Next there is a segment about the old King George flag making a comeback in England cuz of Euro 2004 and how everyone is flying those flags on every single thing they own (houses, cars, themselves, offices, etc) so after it he says "I suppose you can get anything put on a flag these days." To which the stock market correspondant says to him "I'm trying not to be horrified, I never know what you're going to say next Richard."

Funny shit, especially on the ever ominpresent CNN.

Sox, The Cup, Reagan, the Crazy Guy on CNN, That 70's Show

The Sox...they are 3 games out after the Yankees have ripped 12 of their last 15 games for wins. The Yanks now have the best record in all of baseball. BOOYAAHHH!!!! It's also good to see Ken Griffey jr. back in top form as he is tied with teammate Adam Dunn and Albert Pujols (STL) for the MLB lead in homeruns...as much as he killed the Yanks while he was on the Mariners he still has such a sweet swing that's so much fun to watch.

Also, Tino Martinez is having a great season this year too...with virtually no one in his lineup to protect him besides Aubrey Huff. Who woulda thunk that going back to Colorado would put Vinny Castilla in the top 5in the majors in homeruns...surely not I! It's amazing how that works...it made a power hitter out of Jay Peyton. Also, whoever picked the Reds to be in first place at anytime this season is a liar...but they have been on a tear. They are a scary team now.

The Cup, I saw all 7 games of the Stanley Cup Finals live on TV at 9am or so on ESPN-J. What a great series. Glad the Lightning won...good to see Andreychuk (still not sure how to spell his name) win after 22 seasons.

The Crazy Guy on CNN, I watch this guy for a good laugh. His name is Richard Quest. This guy is an absolute riot. He kills me! He is so unintentionally funny that it brings me to wonder if he does it on purpose. He is not on in America...only on CNN International, which is a shame cuz to miss this guy is to be deprived of some great tv. Clint and I watch him laughing our asses off all the time. Good stuff. For instance yesterday he yelled at the weatherwoman in his raspy hardcore British accent "I'm tending to more important things here woman!!" when she jokingly asked him if he was taking notes on her forecast. My guess is the more important thing was the snifter of brandy this guy must keep in his suit coat pocket to be this funny on CNN.

Reagan, I was watching CNN the minute he died and since it was at about 4:09am EST in the states I knew before all the Americans did! For all of you who think it takes days to get news here in Japan. I also watched the State Funeral inside the Capitol rotunda this morning live on the BBC World Service. I chose this over CNN's coverage cuz the guy on the BBC was telling who all the dignitaries were. CNN anchors just went silent during the who,e thing. While it might be disrespectful to talk during that, I did like knowing who I was seeing on the screen.

That 70's Show, I heard probably the funniest line that show ever had last night. Fez looks at this girl Eric's sister brought home from college that fooled around with Eric and says "Can I see your super long tongue??" right after Eric told the slut that he didn't tell anyone bout the whole thing haha...when I was in HS I was fooling round with college girls too. The thigns they did to me/taught me remain ingrained in my mind to this day hahahaha.
