The Club

The club I manage has one of the most useless staff's I have seen in any working environment. These people are lazy and drink more than they work. Somehow, they are finding ways to complain about me to the owners and make it seem like I do no work whatsoever. I find this incomprehensible.

Minami, this bitch is so fat she is physically unable to stand behind the bar and bartend. I get to work a half hour late one day at 830 at night. The whole bar is an absolute mess. The floor is not cleaned, the mirrors on the walls filthy, the sink full of dirty glasses, the fridges unstocked, the bathrooms a mess, the bar not set up, nothing is done. She clocked in at 7pm. What the fuck was she doing???? SO I ask her and she tells me she was busy the whole time. I ask her doing what, she says there were a lot of customers. So I looked at the register receipts, only problem is that there was none! No receipts means no customers!! That fat, lazy bitch was watching MTV the whole time!! She then ad the nerve to get mad at me and call me lazy. FUCK YOU! There have been other nights where all she did was drink so much that she broke numerous glasses, acted like a dipshit, and was generally useless. She always yells at me for no reason and acts like she is queen of the world. You are a zero! How she got to be a floor manager I am speechless, so is everyone else there. Fucking hell.

Yoshi, he's a cool guy but he is rather useless as well. he does more drinking and playing darts than he does work. I constantly have to yell at him to work. I actually watched him dancing in the mirror looking at himself for five minutes last night! What the hell?!?!

Yamada, he is fine. He works hard and never argues. Good guy.

Lisa, for the most part works hard and is never a problem.

Mai, before she quit she was also good, always worked hard and did her job.

Mami, for the most part works hard and does her work, but once in a while she feels like she has the right to stand there and do nothing for an hour or two...what the hell is that?

Mateus, cool guy. Works hard, no real problem with him. Sometimes he feels the need to go into details explaining things for no reason when it is busy and I do not have the time to listen. Other than that he's cool.

The owners, Sam and Valentine, are generally cool guys. I like them a lot. They have done alot to help me out since I started working for them. They are very reasonable and easy to work for. I get along better with Sam becase he is more understanding and willing to listen to anyone. Valentine, however, is not as patient and usually takes his Japanese staff's word as bond. He also sometimes asks rediculous things of me. It was really busy last night and he brings a bucket of coins behind the bar and tells me to count them. I look at him and say "you're kidding right? I don't have the time right now, I'll do it later." He got mad at me. He then yelled at me to wash glasses...hello! That's why I had Yoshi back there. He was cutting up lemons and limes then he was going to wash the glasses.

Also, I told them we should start having all the NFL games on TV (over 10 week) and then advertise them. That we should also put a schedule on the bar's website. They started to advertise the games in all the bar guides...but they advertise without a schedule...they just say "We have NFL games." What good is that wihtout a schedule? I have a guy who wants to update their website for them because he needs the extra money and he still hasn't gotten the admin passwords for it. I go there on nights I am not working and the games aren't even on. They have MTV on! Holy shit! No one watches MTV but your staff!!! Customers will watch football, they will buy drinks, they will stay 3 hours and watch the whole game. Unreal.

Also, I never see the tips put into the tip jar. I have had nights where I got over a hundred dollars in tips, which is absolutely unheard of in Japan seeing as how as a society no one tips...I have never seen one single yen of them. So I ask where they go last night, I am told they are being saved...so I say "for a rainy day?" He laughs and says "yea* I repond by telling him that it has been raining the last two days and I want my god damn tips...he just laughed.

I never complain to the owners about the staff because I try to handle problems on my own, that is why there are managers, to handle the staff so the owners can do what they want. Apparently that is not working. These people have the nerve to complain about me when I work circles around them. FUCKERS!
