4 Dead, 7 Injured in Mihama Nuclear Plant Accident

Reactor #3 at the Mihama Nuclear Power Plantleaked a fair amount of steam internally on Monday killing 4 and leaving 7 injured. No leak is said to have taken outside the plant. This is the second accident at this plant in the last 14 years.

"In February 1991, a tube inside a steam generator at the No. 2 reactor in the same plant broke, resulting in the leak of 55 tons of radioactive water from the main cooling system into the secondary system that powers the reactor's turbine." (Xinhua)

How a plant can have 2 accidents in under 20 years and still be open is beyond me. Me thinks that Japan is too busy building up it's military power and expanding the roles of the SDF to worry about what is going on back home in between it's own borders...sound familiar anyone?
