What a weekend...

On friday night I went out with some friends. At about 6am we are walking out of Club99 in Roppongi to see some Yakuza thugs going at it in the street. Then like a scene straight out of a movie the dominant Yak yells "Urusai!!" (shut up), whips out a katana, and proceeds to slice and dice the other guy's back after he turns around...THe other guy was relatively ok...meaning, he wasn't dead haha...Then, after the cops get there the "Iron Chef" proceeds to order the cops around telling them to wipe up the evidence (blood) and dispose of it in the trash immediately...it was surreal...nothing like a corrupt police force eh??

I had free tickets to today's Yakult Swallows vs Yokohama Baystars baseball game at Jingu National Stadium this afternoon...only thing was that it was in the mid 30's...2 or 3 degrees C...and a mixture of rain and snow was accumulating on my back....it was sooooo cold...I staved off my frostbite with a steady stream of hot sake and miso ramen...it worked until the 4th inning when, after Yakult was losing 6-1...we decided to head for a warmer local.

This morning, around 8am, there was a huge earthquake (magnitude 5.6) that I slept through...glad I missed it cuz I woulda shat myself had I been awake for it haha...
